THE HAMLET
Ripostena Country House is a Tuscany eco resort nestled into the rolling hills in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, surrounded by ancient forests and just a short distance from Siena, San Gimignano, Florence and the Chianti region. Our apartments of various sizes, as well as large independent villa, are the result of careful restoration of an ancient hamlet and are surrounded by carefully maintained gardens and olive groves as well as woods filled with chestnut and oak trees. Each holiday flat of our Tuscany eco resort has an independent entrance and a spacious outdoor area and has all the comforts to make you feel at home. Our dominant position over the Elsa Valley ensures amazing views to the Chianti hills and towers of San Gimignano in the distance.
Our guests are invited to use the many common areas such as the gardens, playground, game room and large terrace.

In 1989, after a dedicated search through the Siena countryside we love so much, our family stumbled upon an abandoned group of farmhouses and immediately knew it was the place we were dreaming of. From the 1300’s to the 1960’s Ripostena had been a lively farm village producing grain, hay, olives, and raising cattle and pigs, but it was now abandoned. We decided to bring it back to life with a special restoration project that lasted over 6 years. Today, Ripostena is an authentic family-run vacation residence with several apartments and a villa that have all been finely restored according to the original Tuscan style, with terracotta floors and wooden beamed ceilings. Each accommodation has its own independent entrance, private outdoor space, and includes all the amenities to make you feel at home. The accommodations are named to reflect their farming past, such as “Frantoio” which means olive mill and “Fienile” which means hay barn.
